A Summer Guide to Utah!

The sun is shining and summer is here! Although the rising temperatures make you want to hide inside with you’re A/C, go out and enjoy the season! Utah has so many fun things to offer in the summer for us to enjoy! We have provided a fun Utah Summer guide. With some family friendly, budget-friendly, fun day trips, and just good ideas for summer activities in Salt Lake and other parts of Utah.

Scenic:

Big Cottonwood Canyon has some of Utah’s most beautiful hikes. There are plenty of hikes that can fit all hiking abilities. Even if you do not feel like hiking, the drives are beautiful. Guardsman’s Pass is a great drive which takes you right to Park City. This drive is also unbelievable in the Fall with all the colors! Zions National Park has made Utah famous. Utah is so diverse, you go from being in the forests of the Rocky Mountains to a quick drive to red rock canyons! Zions, as well as Arches, are great parks to visit if you have not yet. There is a large variety of hikes, as well as fun nature centers that teach you about the area. Grand Teton and Yellowstone National park are not that far of a drive to experience something amazing! These parks are amazing, once in a lifetime experience. Tourists come from all over to see these parks, and how lucky are we to have them in our state!

Attractions:

Red Butte Garden is a beautiful garden with a variety of plants and gardens. This garden also has a great stage for concerts. Follow this link to see if any of your favorite bands will be here this summer! https://www.redbuttegarden.org/concerts/ The Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City also has a variety of Summer concerts, some being free!

The Tracy Aviary nature and wildlife center is both educational and fun! This family-friendly exhibit teaches you all about different species of wildlife. Great for families! Want more wildlife? Try visiting the Utah Hogle Zoo. The Zoo also has a fun water splash pad for kids of all ages.

The Olympic Park is located in Park City, there is a variety of actives to do. Ropes courses, zip lining, and other activities fill the park making it a fun experience for everyone. The Alpine coaster & slide are also located in Park City. Both fun parks with lots of things to do! Park City, in general, is a lively city with fun shops, restaurants, festivals, and activities.

Natural History Museum of Utah is newly renovated with all new exhibits. This museum features larger than life dinosaur bones, and other creatures. The museum has information exhibits that can teach everyone in the family. Interested in dinosaurs or have someone that is? The Dino museum at Thanksgiving Point is a fun place for the kids (and even the adults hehe).

A fun date idea in Salt Lake City is riding the GreenBikes around downtown. Riding up to the capital near Sunset is a beautiful view of the Salt Lake Valley.
